We are a very diverse company and specialize in many different services. We can build or fix almost anything, so just because you don't see something listed below doesn't mean we don't do it (check out our outdoor furniture, bars, and trophies) so if you have any special requests, just ask. Be sure to visit our testimonials and galleries pages and check out our reviews on Angie's List. Please use the form on our Contact Us page to request a free quote.
We offer full-service construction and remodeling. We have done a little bit of everything, from new construction to simple repairs, from water and hail damage remediation to rotten structural framing replacement. Nick and Gerry bring over 30 years of combined construction experience to our company. We do framing, siding (wood, vinyl, fibercement), roofing, concrete, electrical, insulation, windows and doors, drywall, flooring (hardwood and tile), cabinetry and countertops, trim carpentry, wall tile (showers and backsplashes), painting, plumbing (well pumps, pressure tanks, and softeners included), basement finishing (including drop ceilings and bathroom additions), wet bars, deck refinishing, fences, and anything else you can come up with. We can help you negotiate with your insurance adjuster for proper damage settlements. Visit our galleries page for lots of pictures.
We specialize in stationary wooden docks with galvanized posts, but also offer floating docks and vinyl or composite surfaces. We use a larger subframe, narrower joist spacing, shorter span between posts, more crossbracing, and thicker treated decking than our competitors. These practices result in a much more sturdy dock.
Nick hates wobbly, bouncy docks! If your dock is crooked, sagging, or heaved up we can fix that too. We use winches to temporarily support the structure, return it to proper alignment, and replace or add posts and crossbracing to maintain the correct form.
Our standard wooden dock costs start at $16 per square foot (labor and materials included). Pipe diameter upgrades are available. We use Gatorshield galvanized pipe with Flo-Coat, manufactured in Missouri. Our pipe is heavier per foot and springs back when deflected, unlike the black pipe used by other local dock builders. We also recommend the use of a de-icer (water circulator by Kasco)to protect your waterfront investments and prevent seasonal damage. A time and temperature control box can be used to reduce operating cost. Visit our dock gallery for lots of pictures.
We offer vinyl shorewalls, manufacturered by Crane Materials International. Vinyl has a 50 year manufacturer's warranty. It does not crack, rust, or rot, and is impervious to insects. These products are used at naval bases and ports around the world. Also, this wall doesn't directly reflect and amplify waves like steel walls. It breaks the wave up and reflects it three different directions resulting in a much calmer water surface throughout your lake. Visit our shorewall gallery for a total waterfront overhaul pictorial.
We are a dealer for Great Lakes, ShoreStation, and Hewitt boat lifts, and we use Lift Tech motors. We can service any brand of lift and beat any competitor's written quote for a new lift. Occasionally we have reconditioned lifts for sale (posted on our Used Boat Lifts page if available). We offer lift relocation services and can fabricate replacement cables* on-site for any lift (instead of buying the overpriced factory replacements and waiting for shipping). See our lift cables gallery for examples.
Great Lakes is a well built price-bargain lift and has a better canopy than the ShoreStation (but the top costs more). ShoreStation is the fancier looking cadillac of lifts, uses a compound pulley system, but is more expensive both to purchase and to repair. Hewitt offers heavy-duty motor-only lifts at a good price. Lift Tech motors have remote control key FOBs, a light bar, and can fit any lift with a wheel up to 7,000 lbs. See our boat lift gallery for pictures of each brand.
*Do not use bolt-on wire rope clamps, vinyl coated wire rope, or hardware store bent-eye bolts to repair your lift. These are only rated at 299 lbs! Our forged hardware is rated at 2,200 lbs (yes, over seven times as strong). Our cable comes from a crane rigging supplier and our swaged ferrules are rated at triple the cable's breaking strength. Using incorrect cable, hardware, or fasteners can result in property damage and severe injury or death! See our lift cables gallery for examples.
AKA Polebarns, we have built several rental storage unit buildings and a boat-storage unit for Heritage Lake Storage and Garden Supply. Visit our polebarn gallery and shelter house gallery to see some of our recreational/utility buildings.
